Yakutskenergo Chief Ensures Winter Readiness of Regional Electrical Networks
Sergei Prokopenko, first deputy general director and chief engineer of PJSC 'Yakutskenergo', recently conducted a comprehensive inspection of regional electrical networks (REN) in Western Yakutia. The tour covered key areas, including Mirninsky, Suntarsky, Nyurbinsky, Viluisky, and Verkhneviluisky REN. Prokopenko personally oversaw the reconstruction of critical facilities to ensure readiness for the upcoming autumn-winter period.
Prokopenko's inspection focused on main equipment, buildings, and structures within the REN. He took personal control of the Verkhneviluiskaya DPS reconstruction, aiming to complete it before the winter sets in. The project, scheduled for delivery from December 1st, involves additional territory filling to ensure the passage of special equipment. Preliminary plans include capital repair and arrangement of foundations for the 110 kV 'Verkhneviluisk' substation.
In Suntarsky district, Prokopenko monitored the reconstruction of 35 kV 'Center' and 220 kV 'Suntar' substations, along with the installation of a new autotransformer. Meanwhile, an inspection of Viluiskaya DPS repair work showed no violations, with progress on GTO-2 and GTO-3 proceeding according to schedule.
Prokopenko gave a positive assessment of the overall state of the REN, noting satisfactory readiness for the winter period. However, he kept the Verkhneviluiskaya DPS completion under personal control to ensure its timely completion. This proactive approach aims to maintain reliable power supply during the challenging winter months in the region.
