World Food India 2025 Kicks Off: PM Modi to Inaugurate, 1,700 Exhibitors Expected

World Food India 2025, a grand global entry event in New Delhi, is set to kick off on September 25. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the four-day event at Bharat Mandapam, which aims to showcase India's leadership in food innovation and sustainable systems. The event will focus on five key pillars and attract over 1,700 exhibitors and 500 international buyers from more than 100 countries. WFI 2025 will feature over 45 thematic sessions, CEO roundtables, and high-level interactions. It will focus on Sustainability & Net Zero Processing, India as a Global Food Processing Hub, Frontiers in Products & Packaging, Food for Nutrition & Wellness, and Livestock & Marine Products for Rural Growth. The event will include parallel events like the Global Food Regulators Summit (FSSAI) and India International Seafood Show (SEAI), along with APEDA's Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet. India will provide credit-linked support worth ₹770 crore under the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme to benefit nearly 26,000 micro-entrepreneurs. The event will have 14 theme-based pavilions dedicated to startups, sustainable technologies, and international exhibitors, with over 100,000 visitors expected. Countries like France, Germany, USA, South Korea, Italy, and Australia will join Indian enterprises to showcase cutting-edge advancements in food technology and processing. Vietnam, among other partner countries, will participate with a dedicated pavilion showcasing 15 companies and various products. World Food India 2025 promises to be a significant platform for India to signal its ambition to lead the global food economy. It will provide a stage for MSMEs and startups to gain visibility, forge strategic partnerships, and scale globally. With its focus on innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation, the event is set to strengthen India's position in the global food sector.
