A lucky couple from Massapequa, Nassau County, New York, has claimed a $2 million prize in the Mega Millions drawing held on April 15. The winning numbers for the draw were 06, 10, 13, 24, 63, and the Mega Ball was 02.

The couple purchased their winning ticket at Manya Card and Gifts, located at 1250C Hicksville Rd in Seaford, New York. They opted for a lump-sum payout, receiving a one-time cash sum of $651,000 each.

This is not the first time a significant Mega Millions prize has been won in the area. In the same April 15 drawing, another second-place ticket worth $4 million was won by William Weiss, a resident of Massapequa Park. Both tickets were purchased at Manya Card and Gifts, indicating a streak of luck for the store.

The couple won a tier-two prize, meaning they matched all five white balls but not the Mega Ball. This win was made even more significant due to a 2x multiplier assigned to their ticket.

As of now, the top prize for the Mega Millions game stands at an estimated $140 million. The next drawing for Mega Millions is scheduled for Friday, August 1. If someone matches all the winning numbers in the next draw, they would win a prize of $130 million or $57.5 million in cash.

The lucky couple has not disclosed any specific plans for their newfound fortune. However, they decided to split the prize evenly, ensuring that both will have a substantial sum to start their next chapter.

In the previous Mega Millions draw on Tuesday, the jackpot survived as nobody matched all the winning numbers. The jackpot amount for the next Mega Millions draw, if won, would be $140 million or $62.0 million if the cash option is chosen.

While the couple's win may not be the jackpot, it is still a life-changing amount. Many people dream of winning such a sum, and for this couple from Massapequa, that dream has become a reality.

The fortunate couple from Massapequa plans to use their $651,000 winnings from personal-finance management, ensuring a stable future for them both in their next chapter. Interestingly, this store at 1250C Hicksville Rd in Seaford, known as Manya Card and Gifts, seems to have a streak of bringing luck in personal-finance matters, as it sold another $4 million second-place Mega Millions ticket in the same April 15 draw.
