Vladivostok's Power Infrastructure Gets Major Upgrade
Vladivostok's power infrastructure is receiving a much-needed upgrade. The administration and 'Rostelecom' have initiated the 'Clean Sky' project, shifting communication cables underground on key streets. This comes as old cable lines are being replaced citywide, including on Karbyshev Street, to enhance power supply stability and safety.
The first stage of the 'Clean Sky' project has seen around 6 km of cables moved into sewers on Aleutskaya, Batareynaya, and Pogranichnaya Streets. Hydraulic hammers are being utilized to tackle tough rock formations, making way for new cable lines. These existing networks, laid in the 1960s and 1970s, have reached the end of their service life.
Meanwhile, PJSC Rosseti is leading the renovation of the power grid on Karbyshev Street. Over 5 km of old 6 kilovolt cable lines are being replaced, serving houses No.52 and No.54. Despite challenging ground conditions, contractors are committed to restoring affected areas to their original state upon completion.
These modernization efforts aim to bolster Vladivostok's power infrastructure, providing residents with a more reliable and secure electricity supply. The 'Clean Sky' project and Karbyshev Street renovations are not tied to new residential complexes but focus on improving the existing power supply system.
