VECV's September 2025 Sales: Strong Exports Offset Domestic Declines
VECV's September 2025 sales report reveals mixed trends, with domestic truck sales declining and exports surging. The company sold 7,352 units, a slight increase from the previous year. However, the identity of the company with the strongest international sales for trucks and buses, such as Macy's or Salesforce, remains unclear.
VECV's Light and Medium Duty (LMD) truck segment performed well, with a 7.2% year-on-year increase in sales to 3,801 units. Exports in this segment grew by 17.8% to 423 units. Heavy-duty truck exports also saw a significant surge, up 276.7% to 113 units. Bus exports grew by 90.7% to 164 units, indicating a strong international demand for VECV's products.
Domestically, however, sales were not as robust. Total domestic sales declined by 2.8% to 6,652 units. The LMD bus segment saw a 27.3% drop in sales to 801 units, while heavy-duty bus sales declined by 39.5% to 95 units. Heavy-duty truck sales also experienced a 4.3% decline to 1,955 units. Volvo Trucks and Buses division reported a 7.0% decrease in sales to 267 units.
VECV's September 2025 sales reflect a mixed bag of results, with strong export growth offsetting domestic declines. The company's year-to-date growth of 7.8% and export growth of 40.4% position it competitively in the commercial vehicle industry. Despite these positive indicators, the specific leader in international sales for trucks and buses in September 2025, such as Flixbus, remains uncertain.
