**New Leadership at Pforzheim's Municipal Utilities: Uwe Lutz Takes the Helm as Works Council Chairman**

A new chapter begins at Stadtwerke Pforzheim (SWP), the municipal utilities of Pforzheim, as Uwe Lutz has been elected as the new full-time chairman of the works council. Lutz, a long-standing employee of SWP, has been actively engaged in pioneering flexible work models such as the 4-day week to benefit both employees and the organization.

Uwe Lutz, a 60-year-old native of Huchenfeld, has been a member of the works council since 2010 and has been serving as deputy chairman for the past two years. His involvement in discussions about work flexibility and operational experiences at SWP suggests a leadership or managerial position concerned with workforce and organizational development. Lutz has been employed by SWP since 1979.

In a recent election, Lutz was chosen to replace Henry Wiedemann, who retired at the beginning of July. Wiedemann's retirement marks the end of a dedicated service to the works council, representing the interests of around 600 employees.

Alexandra Schollenberger, who hails from Ötisheim, has been appointed as the new full-time deputy of the works council. Schollenberger, who has been a member of the works council since 2022, has expressed her anticipation for the challenges that lie ahead. With the full-time position, Schollenberger will now be able to dedicate herself entirely to the work of the works council. Schollenberger has been employed by SWP for eleven years.

Lutz has been looking after the interests of the workforce in addition to his regular duties since 2022. His dedication to the well-being and success of the SWP workforce is evident in his efforts to implement innovative work models, such as the 4-day work week, to create a more flexible and productive work environment.

The works council meeting on Thursday marked a significant milestone in the leadership of SWP's works council. With Lutz and Schollenberger at the helm, the works council is well-positioned to continue representing the interests of its members and driving positive change within the organization.

In his new role as the full-time works council chairman at Stadtwerke Pforzheim (SWP), Uwe Lutz will leverage his experience to steer the organization towards successful business finance endeavors. With Alexandra Schollenberger as the new deputy, both individuals are poised to foster careers of SWP employees through innovative work models like the 4-day week, promoting a balanced and productive workspace.
