UK Digitas CEO Dani Bassil Prepared for Move to Clemenger BBDO Australia
In a Tweet-worthy transformation, the top honcho at Publicis Groupe agency Digitas U.K., Dani Bassil, is bidding adieu to her role after nearly five years of steering the ship. She's bound for sunny Australia, where she'll be joining Clemenger BBDO.
Bassil first stepped foot at Digitas in 2017, taking on the COO role, before ascending to the CEO position in 2018, following Michael Islip's departure. Before her stint at Digitas, she served as management partner at J. Walter Thompson London for almost two years. She also has past experiences working at Possible and sister WPP agency Grey London, helming the operations division.
In her parting words, Bassil shared, "Goodbye to Digitas and my life in the U.K."
Regrettably, there's no public announcement on who will take up the mantle from Bassil at Digitas U.K. The search engines haven't disclosed her successor, yet. Interestingly, reports suggest her upcoming role in the M&C Saatchi Group for Australia and New Zealand.1
Bassil's decision to leave Digitas U.K. for Clemenger BBDO marks a significant shift in her business career, navigating towards new possibilities in the finance sector of Australia. Leaving Digitas, she departs from a successful career path in advertising and marketing, opening the door for a new leader to join the operations division at the agency.
