UECC Launches 'Sail for Change' with Green Gas Month
UECC has launched its 'Sail for Change' programme, aiming to facilitate a fuel change in the maritime supply chain. The initiative, starting with 'Green Gas Month', will see all five of UECC's car carriers using liquified clean Bio-LNG derived from manure, supplied by Titan Clean Fuels and refuelled at Zeebrugge port's Fluxys terminal.
The 'Sail for Change' programme is UECC's direct response to the need for cleaner fuels in the maritime industry. The programme's first initiative, 'Green Gas Month', will run throughout May. During this time, UECC's five car carriers will use liquified clean Bio-LNG, a renewable fuel that significantly reduces carbon emissions compared to conventional fossil fuels.
The clean Bio-LNG is supplied by Titan Clean Fuels, a Dutch company specialising in clean fuel production. The fuel will be refuelled at Zeebrugge port's Fluxys terminal, ensuring a steady and reliable supply for UECC's vessels. This collaboration allows UECC to directly impact its customers' maritime supply chain, offering a cleaner and more sustainable option for transporting vehicles.
UECC's 'Sail for Change' programme, kicking off with 'Green Gas Month', demonstrates the company's commitment to reducing its environmental impact. By using liquified clean Bio-LNG derived from manure, UECC is setting a new standard for cleaner maritime transportation. The programme's success relies on the collaboration with Titan Clean Fuels and the support of Zeebrugge port's Fluxys terminal, making it a significant step towards a more sustainable future for the industry.
