UAE Launches Ambitious Housing Initiatives in 2025
The United Arab Emirates has launched ambitious housing initiatives in 2025, aiming to strengthen family stability and improve living standards. These programmes have seen significant progress, with thousands of housing units and grants provided across the country.
In Abu Dhabi, agreements have been reached to develop 13 new residential communities. These projects will offer over 40,000 homes and plots at a combined cost of AED106 billion. Meanwhile, Sharjah has stepped in to support 431 families in urgent need, allocating AED335 million for housing in July.
The Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme has been particularly active, issuing 2,971 housing approvals worth AED2.07 billion since January. Dubai, too, has shown commitment, approving AED5.4 billion in housing projects that will add 3,004 new living spaces to the city. In total, 24 housing grants worth AED19 million have been provided, with plans to construct 25,244 housing units for Emiratis over the next five years.
Under presidential directives, 522 housing grants totaling AED355 million have been issued. Additionally, 1,830 housing finance approvals amounting to AED1.449 billion and 595 government housing loans valued at AED246.2 million have been approved.
These initiatives demonstrate the UAE's dedication to enhancing its citizens' living conditions. With thousands of housing units and grants already provided and more on the way, these programmes are set to significantly improve family stability and living standards across the country.
