Arini Scales Up US CLO Business with $505.2 Million Arini US CLO II

Arini, a global structured credit firm, has made a significant stride in the US market with the successful pricing of its second US collateralized loan obligation (CLO), Arini US CLO II. The new CLO, priced at $505.2 million (£376 million), will invest in a portfolio of US broadly syndicated senior-secured loans.

Mehdi Kashani, head of structured credit at Arini, expressed his satisfaction with the successful pricing of Arini US CLO II, stating that it demonstrates continued strong demand from investors and a positive reception from the broader market. Kashani oversees Arini's global CLO platform, which takes a consistent, long-term approach to credit underwriting and portfolio management. The platform focuses on building a robust CLO business with a presence in both Europe and the US.

In the US market, Jonathan Abrahamson acts as the US CLO portfolio manager, managing portfolios of broadly syndicated senior-secured loans. Arini's strategy involves replicating its successful European CLO approach in the US market to become a consistent issuer and a key contributor. This includes fully placing debt stacks with arrangers like Morgan Stanley and targeting investor demand for senior-secured leveraged loans through CLO structures.

Arini's CLOs, such as the recent Arini US CLO II, focus on senior-secured leveraged loans, following a structured credit investment style aimed at stability and growth in both the fixed income and securitized products space. The firm's global CLO platform, including Arini US CLO II, now manages assets totalling $3.85 billion as of July 2025.

With this latest issuance, Arini continues to establish a steady presence in the US CLO market, leveraging its proven European market success and close collaboration with key investment banks and investors. The entire debt stack of Arini US CLO II was fully placed, signifying strong investor confidence in Arini's CLO strategy.
