TWL Unveils Revolutionary Hybrid Collector PRISMA® PVT RBX at Intersolar Europe
TWL Technologie GmbH is set to unveil its innovative Hybrid collector PRISMA® PVT RBX at Intersolar Europe in May. This groundbreaking product, developed in collaboration with automotive supplier Mubea, promises to revolutionize solar energy generation and hot water production.
The new collector, which will be available in specialist shops and with craftsmen from the fourth quarter, is a hybrid system that uses the waste heat of the PV module for hot water generation. This results in a solar energy yield three times higher than that of a pure PV system. Additionally, the heat exchanger can extract thermal energy from the ambient air, further enhancing its efficiency.
The PRISMA® PVT RBX boasts an average annual electricity yield up to ten percent higher due to cooling. Its PV modules consist of monocrystalline Topcon cells optimized for low light, with a nominal power of 450 watts and an efficiency of 22.5 percent. The collector provides the necessary regenerative energy to the heat pump continuously, independent of solar irradiation. This makes it suitable for various applications, from single-family homes to communal heating, and it can be installed as a pure roof system or combined with a ground source.
The annual efficiency factor of the collector is significantly higher than that of air/water heat pumps, and the system is completely silent in outdoor operation. This is a testament to the innovative collaboration between TWL and Mubea.
The debut of the Hybrid collector PRISMA® PVT RBX at Intersolar Europe marks a significant step forward in solar technology. With its ability to generate both electricity and heat, this collector promises to make solar energy more efficient and accessible. As it becomes available in the fourth quarter, specialists and craftsmen will be able to offer their clients a more comprehensive and sustainable energy solution.
