Tribe Payments Expands to Middle East, Launches Open Banking Super-App

Tribe Payments, a European payments fintech, has expanded into the Middle East with the opening of a new office in Dubai's International Financial Centre. Aurangzaib Khan, a payments industry veteran, has been appointed as General Manager - Middle East & Africa to lead this expansion.

Aurangzaib, who brings over two decades of experience from roles at Amazon Payments Services, Mastercard, and Visa, will oversee the Middle East and Africa operations from the new Dubai office. He will work alongside Nizar Farhat, who heads the Middle East and Africa department.

The new office in Dubai will support Tribe Payments' mission to empower banks, fintechs, and acquirers across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East with its cloud-based, modular platform. This platform offers global connectivity through a single integration with Mastercard, Visa, American Express, UnionPay International, Discover, and JCB.

Aurangzaib's first major project in the region will be leading the launch of the Middle East's first open banking super-app, Beyon Money, in Bahrain.

Tribe Payments' expansion into the Middle East, led by Aurangzaib Khan, signals the company's commitment to the region's growing fintech sector. With its comprehensive global payment connectivity and open banking initiatives, Tribe Payments is poised to make a significant impact on the Middle East's financial landscape.
