Gearing Up for Top-Notch Service
For several months, our dedicated team at Transdev SUD has been working tirelessly to ensure a seamless transition to this enhanced service. Test runs, technical trials, and conductor training sessions are underway to promise an unparalleled travel experience right from Day 1.
Inside the Alstom Omneo Trains
- Manufactured at the Crespin site in Hauts-de-France, these 16 state-of-the-art trainsets - with the first arriving on May 19, 2025 - will gradually take over the line through November.
- Each 110-meter trainset can accommodate up to 400 seated passengers, with a double-set configuration squeezing in 730. The trains can zip along up to 200 km/h, though they'll be capped at 160 km/h on the current line. What makes these trains truly special is their commitment to sustainability, as they run exclusively on green electricity.

- Unchanged Rates: No worries about fare hikes, as subscribers can breathe easy with rates remaining unchanged. A 20% reduction in subscriptions is even in the works for July 1, 2025.
- Reliability: The new maintenance site aims to maintain a regularity rate of 97.5%, ensuring a reliable ride for everyone.
Ready, Set, Go!
- Delivery and Deployment: The first trainset officially joined our team on May 19, 2025, in Marseille. Over the next few months, the first eight trainsets will be in service from June 29, 2025, with three more to follow in July, and the rest to be deployed gradually through November.
- Temporary Measures: To smooth the transition, additional train sets have been ordered from SNCF.
- Maintenance Facility: A spacious 2,000-square-meter maintenance site has been constructed in Nice to support high-quality maintenance and optimal train availability.
