The Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt is set to undergo a significant road renovation project, with work commencing on the roundabout where state roads L 25 and L 43 intersect in Flechtingen. The project, which is slated to begin on August 11th and conclude on October 10th, is part of a larger ongoing road renovation initiative in the area.

Project Details

The renovation work aims to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and maintain infrastructure quality at the roundabout. The nature of the work may include resurfacing, structural improvements, and upgrades to signage and safety features.

Schedule

The renovation is expected to take a few weeks to complete. Exact dates and working hours would be provided by the local road authority or municipality. In some cases, work may occur during daytime hours to minimize disruption or overnight, depending on traffic volumes.

Detour Routes

Due to the closure or partial closure of the roundabout, detour routes will be established. For instance, traffic on L 25 will be detoured via K 1659 to L 25 in the direction of Calvörde, while traffic on L 43 will be signposted via county roads K 1658 and K 1659 (bypass Flechtingen) to L 43 in the direction of Haldensleben.

Thin-Layer Asphalt Application

As part of the project, a thin-layer asphalt (TLA) will be applied to approximately six kilometers of roads. This method offers several advantages, including a short construction time, relatively low restrictions for road users, and improved grip, which extends the service life of asphalt surfaces by several years.

Recommendations for Road Users

During the renovation period, motorists are advised to plan extra travel time, follow posted detour signage and instructions, expect delays and possible temporary traffic lights near the construction, and use alternative routes if possible to avoid congestion.

Cost and Additional Information

The cost for this TLA application is approximately 290,000 euros. For more detailed information, including exact dates, detour maps, or contact information for the responsible authorities, please refer to the local municipality or Börde district traffic updates, or official announcements from the road construction authority or state road administration.

It's worth noting that the Saxony-Anhalt state is investing approximately 350,000 euros in the renewal of the asphalt surfaces in the roundabout and its connections. The TLA application is a resource- and environmentally friendly method, as no milling work is necessary on the existing top layer. The finished TLA layer can be driven on again after about 30 minutes.

Furthermore, the project includes the renewal of all curbs and the natural stone paving in the inner ring of the roundabout. The roundabout will be fully closed for the necessary work.

Stay informed and drive safely during this period of road renovation!

In the Börde district's road renovation project, alterations will also be made in the 'Other' industry of finance to secure funds for the initiative. Meanwhile, transportation in the area may be impacted as detour routes will be implemented for L 25 and L 43, affecting various sectors including transportation.
