Tigerair Taiwan Launches Two New Routes from Tainan Boosting Tourism and Cultural Exchange
Taiwan Tigerair is set to launch two new international routes from Tainan, significantly boosting the city's tourism news prospects. The first route, to Kumamoto, Japan, begins on December 23, with flights every Tuesday and Friday. The second route, to Okinawa, also in Japan, starts on December 25, operating every Thursday and Sunday.
These new routes are not just about travel; they also strengthen historical, cultural, and culinary news between Tainan, Kumamoto, and Okinawa. Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che sees these connections as a key driver for expanding the city's international tourism news market.
Tainan and Okinawa share a rich maritime heritage, shaped by centuries of sea trade. Both cities also boast significant economic ties, with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) having sites in both locations.
The new routes, starting at the end of December 2024, promise to enhance tourism, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation between Tainan and its Japanese counterparts. Tigerair Taiwan's expansion is expected to bring more visitors to Tainan, further boosting the city's tourism news industry.
