Mainberg Street Closure and Repairs Scheduled for July 2025

Residents and commuters in Flechtingen, OT Behnsdorf, are advised of upcoming street repairs on Mainberg Street, which will take place from July 28 to 30, 2025.

During this period, the street will be closed for repairs using the DSK method. Public transport (bus) will be allowed to pass through the closed area, ensuring that essential services remain accessible.

For other traffic, alternative routes have been established to maintain smooth traffic flow and avoid congestion in the construction zone.

Detour Route: Traffic is redirected to use the roads via Behnsdorf – Bülstringen – B1. This means vehicles will detour through Behnsdorf and then Bülstringen, connecting back to the federal highway B1.

For those who wish to avoid the main detour, an alternative route is available:

Alternative Routes: Use the B1 federal highway and the connecting local roads such as those through Bülstringen and other nearby villages to bypass the closed section of Mainberg Street.

These detours are set up to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimise disruption during the repair period.

It's important to note that all other traffic is required to use either the detour route or the alternative routes. The detour route for traffic during the repairs will be Bernsdorf L 43 - Siestedt via the K 1133 towards Ribbensdorf - K 1135 towards Belsdorf and vice versa.

Public transport (bus) will be allowed to pass through the closed area, ensuring that essential services remain accessible during the repairs.

We advise all road users to plan their journeys accordingly and to expect delays during the repair period. Safety is paramount, so please follow the signs and instructions of the traffic management team.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.

The transport industry may experience adjustments during the scheduled repair of Mainberg Street in July 2025, as public transportation will be allowed to pass through the closed area. Additionally, the finance sector might see fluctuations due to potential delays in deliveries and increased costs for businesses who rely on transportation through Mainberg Street during the repair period.
