The Legendary Rolling Stones Reach the Top 40 Charts Once More, Swelling Their Musical Influence

The Rolling Stones continue to reign as one of the world's biggest bands, enjoying an impressive spell of success over a year now, following the release of their long-awaited album, "Hackney Diamonds." This collection of original tunes marked their first release in over a decade, and it was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, earning them a Grammy for Best Rock Album.

The lead single, "Angry," experienced a remarkable comeback, skyrocketing to the top 40 of the Official Physical Singles chart in the UK, where the band found their roots. However, it missed out on the Best Rock Song Grammy, with Boygenius taking home the award with "Not Strong Enough."

Not one to be left out, another track from "Hackney Diamonds," "Sweet Sounds of Heaven," also resurfaced on the same chart, sitting comfortably at No. 97. Both songs have now spent 50 weeks on the list, contributing to The Rolling Stones' current resurgence.

Interestingly, though "Hackney Diamonds" didn't make it onto the UK charts, a different compilation album did - "Forty Licks." Fans have been drawn back to this classic, which now appears on two album-focused rankings in the UK. The title notched up three places on both the main album list and the Official Albums Streaming chart, with the latter seeing "Forty Licks" move up to No. 80.

The sudden popularity of "Forty Licks" can be attributed to several factors. Nostalgia for the band's iconic music, new fans discovering their legendary music through streaming platforms, special editions and reissues, cultural impact, and the ease of access to music provided by streaming services all contribute to this resurgence.

The Rolling Stones' latest album, "Hackney Diamonds," has significantly boosted their sales in the UK, with "Forty Licks" also experiencing a surge in popularity, reaching higher positions on the Official Albums Streaming chart. Despite the success of "Hackney Diamonds" in the UK charts, the band's angry anthem, "Angry," failed to secure a Grammy nomination in the Best Rock Song category, although it ranked high on the Official Physical Singles chart. The Rolling Stones' anger was palpable in their music, as showcased in their UK chart-topping song, reflecting their enduring influence and continued relevance in the UK music scene. In anticipation of their 60th anniversary in 2024, "Stones" fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting any new releases or special events from this legendary band.

After the GRAMMY award win for Best Rock Album, "Hackney Diamonds" has solidified its position as one of the Rolling Stones' best rock albums, earning them widespread recognition and admiration. The album's success in the US and Australia, where it became a significant cultural phenomenon, demonstrated the band's global appeal and their lasting impact on the rock genre. The Aussiedlerbote newspaper even hailed the Rolling Stones' resurgence, highlighting their impressive feat of reigniting interest in their classic tracks.
