Streetside Closure takes Held on Bergmannstrasse in Hürth-Gleuel
In the heart of Hürth-Gleuel, the Stadtwerke Hürth is carrying out a significant construction project. From April 14 to approximately April 25, 2025, Bergmannstraße will be closed between Ernst-Reuter-Straße and Schnellermaarstraße for the connection of a house to the district heating network.
During this period, vehicle detours will be set up on Bergmannstraße. The city bus line 711 will be rerouted via Hermülheimer Straße and Ernst-Reuter-Straße to ensure smooth public transport services. The stops "Heinrich-Imig-Straße", "Gildenweg", and "Ernst-Reuter-Straße" are recommended as alternatives for the 7 city bus line during the closure on Bergmannstraße.
Pedestrians and cyclists will not be affected by the closure, and residents can drive up to the construction site, but there are no restrictions for pedestrians and cyclists. The "Jakob-Eßer-Platz" stop will be replaced by the "Ernst-Reuter-Straße" stop during the closure on Bergmannstraße, and the "Barbarastraße" stop will be replaced by the "Gildenweg" stop.
The stops "Otto-Maigler-See", "Zieskovener Straße", "Barbarastraße", and "Jakob-Eßer-Platz" will not be served during the construction period on Bergmannstraße. This means that the "Otto-Maigler-See" and "Zieskovener Straße" stops will not be served during this time.
Residents are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid any inconvenience caused by the construction. The Stadtwerke Hürth appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the public during this project. The connection of the house to the district heating network is a crucial step in ensuring a sustainable and efficient energy supply for the future.
