Stobart Europe Strengthens Position in Automotive Logistics with Strategic Merger

Stobart Europe, a prominent logistics company specializing in automotive transportation, has strengthened its presence in Europe through a strategic merger. The company, operating in Belgium, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands, has united its operations with those of Suloja. This move is anticipated to improve services and establish a more efficient transport network.

The newly formed entity, Stobart Europe, will now oversee a fleet of over 120 car carriers, capable of handling up to 8,800 vehicles simultaneously. This includes Stobart's existing fleet of 100 carriers and Suloja's 20 vehicles. The combined company will offer a range of services, including storage, pre-delivery inspection, and remarketing.

The merger follows Stobart Europe's, formerly known as Walon, acquisition by the Culina Group in 2021. Raf Hustinx, CEO of Stobart Europe, expressed confidence in the acquisition of Suloja, stating it would fortify the company's position in European automotive logistics. Suloja, which transported over 35,000 vehicles in 2021, generated a turnover of €6.8m ($7.4m) last year.

The merger of Stobart Europe and Suloja is poised to enhance the company's offerings in the automotive logistics sector. With an expanded fleet and a broader range of services, the combined entity aims to provide more streamlined and effective solutions for its customers across Europe.
