The operator company of the Baskan Hydroelectric Power Plant Station (BHPP-2), TOO "Baskan Power", swiftly responded to an incident at their facility located on the Maly Baskan River in the village of Ekiasha, Sarkan District.

According to the company's technical director, Daniar Dosabaev, a local water pipeline ruptured at the BHPP-2, as reported by CMN.KZ. As a result, emergency repair work is currently underway to contain the situation.

Baskan Power's safety specialists quickly shut off water supply from the upper water intake and drained the pipeline. The water inside the building was pumped out, and the flowed back into the riverbed, no flooding was reported.

Thankfully, there is no damage to the local population or ecological danger, as emphasized by Dosabaev. He also assured that there was no threat to nearby residential buildings.

As of now, there are no recent reports or confirmed details about any incident at the Verkhne-Baskansky Hydroelectric Power Plant Station in Jetisu. If you need up-to-date information, I recommend checking the latest local news sources or official statements from the plant's management or government authorities in the Jetisu region.

It's worth noting that Baskan Power employs approximately 90 people, most of whom are residents of Ekiasha village. The incident at the BHPP-2 did not affect the operation of other services.

The Verkhne-Baskansky Hydroelectric Power Plant Station and the BHPP-2 are both significant contributors to the region's power supply. We hope for a swift resolution to the current incident at the BHPP-2 and continued safety for all involved.
