Let's chat about SonneWindWende, a local cooperative busting its gut to make Kaarst and Korschenbroich greener!
From a humble start with 40 members last year, this community-driven Renewable Energy powerhouse has blossomed to a whopping 350 members, collectively dropping half a million euros! But what's all this moolah for?
Well, they're about to install a snazzy 85 kWp photovoltaic system at Kuppers Baustoffe! Installation on the 400 square meter roof will commence soon. Needless to say, they got more dough for another three to four systems chilling in the coffers!

They're also keeping tabs on Korschenbroich city admin and chatting about sweet renewable energy projects.
Now, you might wonder, what happens when full feed-in systems become unprofitable, thanks to pesky law changes. No worries! They've got a plan B – projects where the power stays local, like that sustainably super farmhouse refurbished into livable digs. Residents score lower energy bills, grids heave a sigh of relief, and the SonneWindWende crew sees a better profit!
