Sinclair Broadcasting Corporation Introduces Sales and Content Subdivisions

Sinclair Broadcast Group is undergoing a strategic evolution, as it unveils the launch of new sales and content divisions: AMP Sales & Marketing Solutions and AMP Media. This move reflects the company's ongoing efforts to innovate, drive growth, and enhance its impact across the evolving media ecosystem.

Ryan Moore, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at Sinclair Broadcast Group, stated that the transformation to AMP Sales & Marketing Solutions is a strategic evolution designed to empower Sinclair's sales teams. Meanwhile, Rob Weisbord, Chief Operating Officer and President of Local Media, explained that the launch of AMP Sales & Marketing Solutions and AMP Media is a significant step in Sinclair's journey, further cementing its position as a leading media company.

AMP Media will serve as Sinclair's overarching content brand, encompassing podcasts like "The Triple Option," "Throwbacks," and "Unfiltered Soccer with Landon Donovan and Tim Howard." Additionally, AMP Media will include Sinclair's social verticals, blending programming and storytelling with cutting-edge technology and creativity.

The station's current sales organization will be renamed AMP Sales & Marketing Solutions, becoming a reimagined advertising sales and integrated marketing division. The media campaign for AMP will include a mix of linear, digital, OTT/CTV, social, audio, and more, aiming to reshape how Sinclair engages with consumers and delivers value to clients across all media touchpoints.

Sinclair's strategic evolution also includes the acquisition and rebranding of Digital Remedy. The company acquired the remaining 75% ownership of Digital Remedy in early 2025, absorbing Compulse into the Digital Remedy brand. This move consolidates and amplifies Sinclair's digital marketing and sales operations.

Digital Remedy, now focusing on software-driven marketing solutions, will work alongside AMP Media, which is developing sports podcasts (including college football and WNBA content). This diversification into digital sports media content and podcasting formats signifies Sinclair's broadening of its content portfolio beyond traditional broadcasting into innovative audio and digital channels.

The goal of these changes is to position AMP Sales & Marketing specialists to deliver even greater impact for clients and for their careers. Sinclair reported a year-over-year increase of $13 million in core advertising revenues, suggesting successful monetization of these expanded digital assets. Furthermore, new executive appointments, such as Narinder Sahai as EVP and CFO, support this strategic evolution by reinforcing financial and operational leadership during the transition.

In the coming weeks, Sinclair plans to introduce AMP to the market, complete with a new landing page for clients. The internal processes of Sinclair are being revamped to build a stronger, unified team with cutting-edge resources, setting the stage for a bright future in the media landscape.
