Santander Appoints New Leader for UK Transaction Banking Division

In a recent development, Michael Vallance has been appointed as the new head of Santander's UK Transaction Banking and Cash Management Division. With over three decades of experience in the sector, Vallance brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.

Vallance joins Santander Corporate and Commercial from global consulting firm Capco, where he worked as managing principal with a focus on transaction banking and payments. Prior to this, he had stints within Citi's treasury and trade solutions team, Barclays, and for a brief period at Santander in 2006 as head of strategy and development.

John Carroll, managing director of products and international business at Santander, expressed his delight at Vallance's appointment. Carroll believes that Vallance will bring increasing subject matter expertise and high-performance leadership to the team.

In his new role, Vallance will be responsible for managing and selling Santander's transaction banking products to high-growth mid-market and corporate clients. The products offered include domestic and international payments and receivables, e-channels, liquidity and information reporting, e-commerce, and alternative payments products.

Vallance was attracted to Santander because of its focus on transaction banking and its track record in supporting SMEs and corporates. He will be based in London and will report directly to Carroll.

While there is no publicly available information regarding Michael Vallance or his new role at Santander Corporate and Commercial in the current search results, Carroll is confident in Vallance's success in his new role due to his extensive international banking experience.

In this new phase, Michael Vallance ventures into the finance industry by joining Santander's Transaction Banking and Cash Management Division within the banking-and-insurance sector, having a significant background in business and banking. His primary business will be managing and selling transaction banking products for high-growth mid-market and corporate clients, a responsibility he accepted due to Santander's focus on transaction banking and its support for SMEs and corporates.
