S&P Global Launches S&P Digital Markets 50 Index: Crypto & Digital Asset Companies
S&P Global is introducing the S&P Digital Markets 50 Index, a new benchmark that combines 15 cryptocurrencies with 35 publicly traded companies involved in the digital asset ecosystem. The index, created in collaboration with Dinari, aims to meet growing global demand for diversified exposure to this rapidly evolving sector.
The S&P Digital Markets 50 Index will include 35 leading companies from the digital-asset ecosystem, spanning crypto-infrastructure, blockchain applications, and financial services. While specific names are not yet disclosed, these companies are expected to be prominent players, such as miners, exchanges, and infrastructure firms. The index will also incorporate 15 cryptocurrencies, providing a comprehensive view of the market.
The new benchmark will join S&P DJI's existing suite of digital-asset benchmarks, further expanding its coverage of the crypto market. Dinari, a technology company specialising in digital assets, will issue a tokenized version of the index, making it tradable on-chain.
The launch of the S&P Digital Markets 50 Index reflects the increasing interest in and acceptance of digital assets as a legitimate investment option. This new benchmark offers investors a diversified way to gain exposure to the digital asset ecosystem, combining the potential of both cryptocurrencies and leading companies in the sector.
