Rural Area Advocacy
The Local Action Group (LAG) Landkreis Landshut e.V. held its annual general meeting on August 5, 2025, where Peter Dreier, the first chairman, and Karoline Bartha, the LAG manager, reported on the activities of the association over the past year.
During the meeting, it was announced that the LAG currently has reserves of around 270 Euros. The LAG has been actively managing these funds, with Treasurer Armin Reiseck reporting on the income and expenditure of the association in the calendar year 2024.
The LAG has been representing the Lower Bavarian Local Action Groups in the LEADER Accompaniment Circle Bavaria. The association has participated in several meetings, including those of the Lower Bavarian LAG managers and the two Integrated Rural Development alliances located in the LAG area.
Intensive public relations work has been carried out by the LAG to ensure the community is well-informed about its activities. This work has included publishing calls for project submissions for the 'Support for Citizen Engagement' project and regular LEADER projects on the LAG homepage, www.region.landshut.de.
In terms of projects, three meetings of the LAG decision-making body were held, during which seven projects were selected. A group photo was taken with the project carriers whose projects were approved in recent months.
The LAG management also reported on the progress of the Wehnert Solarprojekt GmbH & Co. KG's agrivoltaic photovoltaic project in Kitzscher. The project sponsor is currently awaiting its grant decision from Regen, with the project planning and early participation stages documented in the municipal bulletin of August 2025.
Project inspections were conducted in Ergoldsbach, and all project and measure carriers are recommended to contact the LAG business office before submitting documents.
The general meeting unanimously voted to discharge the board, decision-making body, and management. The LAG has also been actively participating in the 'Three Valleys - 7000 Years' working group, with two meetings taking place in Landshut and Holzhausen.
As the LAG moves forward, it was noted that of the initially available budget of 1.961 million Euros for the funding period 2023-2027, approximately 239,000 Euros are still available for the funding of new projects. The LAG decision-making body will decide on the submitted project proposals at its next meeting on 12.11.2025.
The deadline for submitting ideas for small projects is 20.10.2025, and for project descriptions for regular LEADER projects is 24.10.2025. For further information on LAG Landkreis Landshut and funding opportunities, please visit www.region.landshut.de (LEADER).
