In the heart of Jahra Governorate, a comprehensive road maintenance initiativehas commenced as part of a novel series of contracts endeavoring to revamp both major highways and internal roads. Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works, made this announcement on Friday.

Affirming the ministry's unwavering dedication towards timely project execution and maintaining the highest quality standards, Dr. Al-Mashaan highlighted the significance of these upgrades in increasing road efficiency, sustainability, and curbing long-term reconstruction costs.

At the moment, engineers are actively engaged in the Al-Qasr area (Block 1), with asphalt scraping and repaving ongoing in Plots 1 and 2. Once completed, street markings and speed bump painting will follow in sequence as per the project timeline.

Furthermore, Engineering Supervisor Mazid Al-Anzi confirmed that the work teams are diligently executing their responsibilities. These infrastructure improvement projects aim to ensure enhanced safety and accessibility for travelers, foster economic activity, and contribute to ongoing regional development. In line with labor standards, these initiatives adhere to regulations such as the midday work ban to protect workers from severe heat conditions.
