Road Remains Shut in Wiesbaden: Buses Re-routed

In the coming weeks, passengers using public transportation in Wiesbaden and Mainz/Kostheim should be aware of some changes to their regular routes due to construction work and road closures. These changes have been coordinated by the traffic planning and public transport authorities in both cities, in collaboration with ESWE Verkehr and the responsible city departments.

Line 6 (Direction: Wiesbaden) will follow its regular route, with the Dyckerhoffstraße stop served as usual. However, for Line 6 and Line 33 (Direction: Mainz/Kostheim), there will be a detour via Albertstraße, Biebricher Straße up to the intersection of Otto-Suhr-Ring/Wiesbadener Straße. After turning right, these lines will follow their regular route. A temporary stop "Mudra-Kaserne" will be set up, approximately 100 meters before the Wiesbadener Straße intersection.

Line 9 (Both Directions) will have a detour between Niederbergstraße and Ruthof stops via Biebricher Straße. It's important to note that all stops along the detours for Line 6, Line 33, and Line 9 will be served.

For those planning their trips, please consider these changes and allow for extra time if necessary. Timetable and fare information for the Rhine-Main Transport Association can be obtained via the hotline at (069) 24248024, which is available 24/7. Real-time information can be found on the website's interactive route map at www.netzplan-ourwebsite.de.

If you have any questions, citizens can contact the responsible department or office of the Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden. Their website is pressereferatour websitede, and their office can be found at Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden. The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden is the publisher of this press release.

For inquiries related to ESWE-Verkehr, their service phone is available from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays, 8 am to 3 pm, at (0611) 45022450.

Further general information is available at the affected stops' timetable displays. A list of all current detours can be found at www.eswe-verkehr.de. The diversions of lines 6 and 33 in Mainz/Kostheim as well as line 9 in both directions were initiated due to the closure of the Wiesbadener Landstraße starting September 2, 2025.

We encourage all passengers to stay informed and plan accordingly to ensure a smooth journey during this period of construction.
