Road Closure on John F. Kennedy Avenue: Bus Routes Diverted
In the coming weeks, ESWE-Verkehr lines 45 and 49 in Wiesbaden will undergo a detour due to the full closure of John-F.-Kennedy-Straße from August 22 to August 23, 2025. This closure affects these lines specifically, requiring a detour around the closed section.
For those planning to travel during this period, it is essential to make necessary adjustments to their journey. Current timetable information, including the detour routes, can be found on the interactive network map available on www.netzplan-our website.de. A graphic related to the article can be found at the same location (File 546.93 kB).
In the direction of the Hauptbahnhof, both lines will run in reverse order. In the direction of Raiffeisenplatz/Wolfsfeld, a detour via B455 and Washingtonstraße will be established from the "Friedenstraße" stop to the temporary stop "Raiffeisenplatz". From the temporary stop "Raiffeisenplatz" in the direction of Raiffeisenplatz/Wolfsfeld, the route will return to the regular line via B455. The "John-F.-Kennedy-Straße" stop will not be served in both directions during the closure in the direction of Raiffeisenplatz/Wolfsfeld.
Timetable information for the affected stops can be found at the timetable displays. For precise route adjustments and the latest detour information, contacting ESWE Verkehr’s Mobility Center at Marktstraße 10, Wiesbaden, or via their customer dialog email [email protected] and phone 0611 450 22-450 is recommended.
Additional travel time should be allocated due to these changes in travel planning. An overview of all detour announcements is available on www.eswe-verkehr.de. Citizens can contact the responsible department or office of the State Capital Wiesbaden with any questions.
