Greifswald Utilities Inc. has announced that it will begin construction on Kapaunenstraße for the expansion of the district heating and drinking water network on August 25, 2025. The work is expected to continue until December 5, 2025.
The company has requested that all affected parties prepare accordingly. To ease the strained parking situation in Kapaunenstraße, the construction will be carried out in several phases. The street will be fully closed between Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße and Lange Straße during the work. Access to Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße will be via Wollweberstraße.
The one-way traffic regulation in Kapaunenstraße will be changed and marked by traffic signs to ensure the safety of all road users. Despite the construction, the heat and water supply in Kapaunenstraße will remain unaffected during the work.
