Restaurant Owner Fined €9,000 for Aiding Illegal Residence
A restaurant owner in the Aschaffenburg area has been fined €9,000 by the Aschaffenburg Local Court. The owner was found guilty of aiding and abetting the illegal residence of three individuals in three separate cases. The Financial Control Schwarzarbeit (FKS) of the Main Customs Office Schweinfurt conducted the investigations. The women involved entered Germany using forged Slovak passports, which facilitated their illegal residence. The convicted restaurant owner employed Georgian workers without the necessary residence permits for employment at their establishment over a period of three years. FKS, which ranges from preventive tasks to complex forms of abuse of social benefits and illegal employment, investigates criminal offenses and administrative offenses related to black work and illegal employment. Joachim, the head of the Hauptzollamt Schweinfurt, was the official in charge of the Financial Control of Illegal Employment when the three illegal employments were discovered. The restaurant owner's actions resulted in a €9,000 fine. The case serves as a reminder of the seriousness of aiding and abetting illegal residence and the importance of proper employment documentation at restaurants.
