Reduction of Tram and Bus Services by DVB-Sparkus Continues
Heyo! Check this out, the Dresden public transport operator (DVB) is pulling a switcheroo with some major cost-cutting moves, straight up approved by the city council.
First off, they're gonna slow down tram line 7's roll between Gorbitz and Pennrich, hammerin' it with a 20-minute wait on weekdays from 6 am to 7 pm, then ease it up to a 30-minute interval 'til 10 pm. Shoutout to on-demand taxi service alita, though, for stepping up in the affected area whenever the bus ain't runnin' as regularly.
Now, bus line 74's gonna get chopped down to a Waldschlösschen to Jägerpark stretch, while bus line 76 goes tumbleweed town. Bummer, right? But fret not, 'cause you can still make it work with that alita service!
School holidays already got the cold shoulder from line 7, but the reductions keep on comin'. From June late, bus lines 78 and 88 are gonna see less frequent rides in certain sections. Plus, from December, bus line 87's final destination's a-changin' from Striesen to Tolkewitz.
Curious for the lowdown on these fine deets and wonderin' how to score an alita ride? Drop by the DVB website, and you'll be in the know!
