The Powerball jackpot is reaching new heights ahead of tomorrow's drawing, with an estimated grand prize of $643 million. This marks the highest jackpot of the year and the highest since the record-breaking Mega Millions jackpot in December.

If someone manages to match all six numbers in tomorrow's drawing, they will face a significant decision: a one-time payout of $273.4 million or an annuity totaling $605 million spread over 30 years.

The current jackpot is the fourth largest Powerball jackpot ever won, trailing behind the $2.04 billion jackpot won in November 2022, the $1.765 billion prize claimed in October 2023, and the $1.586 billion jackpot split by three tickets in January 2016.

The most recent Powerball drawing, held on Monday night, did not produce a winner. As a result, the jackpot has surged to its current record high. The winning numbers from Monday's drawing were 15, 46, 61, 63, and 64, with a Powerball of 1.

Players select five white ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. For an extra $1, the Power Play option can be added, which multiplies non-jackpot winnings. The Powerplay Multiplier for Monday's drawing was set at 3x, enhancing the value of any smaller prizes won with the Power Play option.

There are eight additional ways to win smaller prizes in Powerball, with the Match 5 prize becoming $2 million with Power Play, regardless of the multiplier. To win the jackpot, all five white ball numbers and the red Powerball number must be matched.

Jackpot winners can choose either a lump sum or an annuity. The Powerball drawings occur three times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

For those living in eligible states, Jackpocket, a leading lottery courier app, allows customers to order official Powerball tickets through their mobile device.

The drought of grand prize winners continues, with 33 consecutive drawings without a winner since the last winner emerged at the end of May. Despite this, the excitement is building ahead of tomorrow's drawing, which promises to be the highest of the year.
