Rare Modified 1993 Lamborghini Diablo Evolution GTR Heads to Auction
A unique, modified 1993 Lamborghini Diablo Evolution GTR, one of only ten exclusive cars created by Swiss Lamborghini importer Roland Affolter, is set to hit the auction block at Broad Arrow Auctions in Zurich on November 1, 2025. The Diablo, previously owned by Affolter himself, is expected to fetch between €375,000 and €482,000.
The Diablo, a standout sports car in the 1990s, has been comprehensively restored cosmetically and is presented in the rare SE30 special color Viola with a blue Alcantara interior. Affolter's modifications included painting the car in gold metallic, converting it to Diablo GTR or Evolution style, and adding special headlights, additional air intakes, and an adjustable rear wing.
Powered by a 6-liter V12 mid-engine, the Diablo produces 492 hp at 6,800 rpm. This specific car, the 855th of 873 built with rear-wheel drive, was delivered to a customer in Zurich in 1993 and has clocked 33,824 kilometers. It has received a complete service by Lamborghini Porrentruy before the sale.
The modified Diablo, a testament to Affolter's craftsmanship, will be auctioned off at the prestigious Zurich hotel 'The Dolder Grand'. With its impressive history and unique modifications, this Diablo is a rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
