Proposal for a data collection system on electronic communications network usage sought from the Commission.

In a landmark decision, Adl Cobas Alessandria has announced a significant victory against illegitimate subcontracting practices, often referred to as 'Chinese boxes', in the logistics sector. The victory comes after negotiations for the internalization of 40 employees at the Colussi plant in Tortona ended with the acceptance of demands.

The case of Tortona serves as a stark example of the importance of monitoring and denouncing such practices. Torello Trasporti Srl, a company that directly supplies Colussi, has agreed to internally employ the 40 affected employees. This move ensures that they will be on equal contractual terms with the company, a step towards ensuring respect for rights and contractual norms.

Article 42 of the national collective bargaining agreement for logistics prohibits the outsourcing of operational management activities. However, companies often circumvent this rule, leading to precarious and exploitative working conditions. Adl Cobas has been committed to ensuring that workers are not subjected to such practices.

The victory in the Tortona case is a significant step against 'Chinese boxes' in logistics. It underscores the need for vigilance and enforcement of rules to prevent the shifting of precariousness and uncertainty onto workers' shoulders. This victory is not just a win for the 40 employees, but also a victory for dignified working conditions throughout the logistics sector.

Adl Cobas emphasizes the detrimental effects of illegitimate subcontracting practices on workers. By securing the internalization of the employees at the Colussi plant in Tortona, they have taken a stand against such practices and paved the way for a more equitable and fair logistics sector.

The victory was announced by Adl Cobas Alessandria after a meeting on September 16. The employees will receive a Christmas bonus of 500 euros net in 2025 and 1000 euros net in 2026 as part of the agreement. This marks a positive step towards ensuring fair and dignified working conditions for all workers in the logistics sector.
