Silversmith Capital Partners Announces Successful Close of $1.7 Billion Fund V

Silversmith Capital Partners, a leading growth equity firm, has announced the successful close of Fund V with total commitments of $1.7 billion. The fund, which focuses on growth-stage technology and healthcare companies, received strong investor conviction, closing at its target and hard cap within three months of its launch in May 2025.

Fund V continues Silversmith's decade-long, founder-first investment strategy, offering flexibility in deal structuring to support companies at different growth phases. With a total of $1.6 billion from limited partners and $110 million from the Silversmith team themselves, the fund is part of the firm's broader total capital raised exceeding $5 billion across five funds in ten years.

Over 70% of the capital in Fund V comes from the first institutional investor, reflecting the trust and reinvestment in Silversmith Capital Partners' approach. Sri Rao, who has been instrumental to the firm's growth since 2015, has been named the managing partner.

Sri Rao embodies Silversmith's mission, leading with humility, putting founders first, and bringing deep domain expertise. Jim Quagliaroli, one of the managing partners of Silversmith Capital Partners, describes Sri Rao as a partner who builds trust, meets founders where they are, and is steady. Todd MacLean, another managing partner, echoes this sentiment, emphasizing that Sri Rao leads with humility and puts founders first.

Fund V includes participation from many long-time limited partners and over 50 senior executives. The fund will make both minority and majority investments in growth-stage tech and healthcare companies, following Silversmith's proven approach of backing exceptional founders who solve real problems.

In a statement, Todd MacLean and Jim Quagliaroli praised Sri Rao's leadership and approach, noting his ability to build strong relationships with founders and his commitment to disciplined fundraising. With Fund V, Silversmith Capital Partners continues to solidify its position as a leading growth equity firm in the technology and healthcare sectors.

Investors have demonstrated their confidence in Silversmith Capital Partners as a growth equity firm by contributing $1.7 billion to Fund V, intended for investing in growth-stage technology and healthcare businesses, continuing the firm's strategy of offering flexible financing for various growth phases.

With the successful close of Fund V, Silversmith Capital Partners, led by managing partner Sri Rao, is well-positioned to execute their mission of backing exceptional founders and making impactful investments in the technological and healthcare sectors, furthering the growth and success of their businesses.
