Poultry industry in Germany welcomes Goldnick as its newest president.

Hans-Peter Goldnick has been unanimously elected as the new President of the Central Association of the German Poultry Industry (ZDG), effective from October 1, 2023. The election took place at a member meeting held in Hannover.

Friedrich-Otto Ripke, who led the association for eight years, did not seek re-election. Goldnick succeeds Ripke and will represent the interests of the German poultry industry at the federal and EU levels.

The ZDG operates as a professional association umbrella organization, working to advance the German poultry industry. Goldnick, a trained banker, brings a unique perspective to the role, having previously run a layer hen farm, the Hornbrooker Hof, which employs 40 people.

The Hornbrooker Hof is not Goldnick's only connection to the poultry industry. As the new President of the ZDG, he will lead the association in its mission to represent the German poultry industry at both the federal and EU levels.

While public information about Goldnick's roles and achievements in the German poultry industry is limited at this time, it is clear that his experience in banking and farming will be valuable assets in his new position.

Ripke, who did not run for re-election, led the association for eight successful years. His departure marks a new chapter for the ZDG, and Goldnick is eager to take on the challenges that lie ahead.

Goldnick's term as President of the ZDG is for a period of three years, during which he aims to strengthen the association's position within the German poultry industry and advocate for the needs of its members at the federal and EU levels. The ZDG's member meeting in Hannover was the venue for Goldnick's election, and he is excited to begin his term on October 1, 2023.
