"PMET Resources is set to be the new name for Patriot Battery Metals, as announced"
In a significant move, PMET Resources Inc. has announced a proposed name change from Patriot Battery Metals Inc. The evolution of Patriot into PMET Resources is taking place, effective at the start of trading on September 18, 2025, subject to final approval by the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The shift in the Company's tagline from "North America's lithium powerhouse" to "North America's critical-mineral powerhouse" reflects its expanding focus on lithium, tantalum, cesium, and gallium as critical raw materials intended as potential future resources for North America and Europe.
The Company, led by President, CEO, and Managing Director Ken Brinsden, continues to make strong progress with permitting and stakeholder engagement for the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project. This project, located in Canada, hosts not only lithium resources but also tantalum, caesium, and gallium.
The imminent completion of the Feasibility Study is ongoing for the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project. The new name and corporate rebranding mark the next evolution of the Company as development of this project continues to advance.
The new logo of PMET Resources is a three-faced crystal representing the LCT components of the pegmatites: lithium, caesium, and tantalum. The logo also symbolizes the collaboration of three cultures (Cree, French, and English) in building the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project.
The Company's shares will not be consolidated, and shareholders are not required to change their existing share certificates. The new CUSIP and ISIN numbers assigned to the Company's common shares are 73015G104 and CA73015G1046, respectively. The Company will retain its existing trading symbols: "PMET" on the Toronto Stock Exchange and "PMT" on the Australian Securities Exchange.
PMET Resources aims to become a reliable long-term supplier of critical minerals to key North American and European markets. The Company's new website can be found at pmet.ca. This rebranding signifies a significant step forward in the Company's evolution as a diversified global critical minerals company.
