Plummeting net profit by 7% recorded by UTI Asset Management Company during the first quarter

In the recently concluded June quarter of 2025, UTI Asset Management Company (UTI AMC) has announced its financial results, revealing a mixed bag of growth and declines.

The company's equity assets expanded to ₹94,894 crore, while hybrid assets grew to ₹32,820 crore. This growth represents an increase of 7% for equity assets and a substantial 20% for hybrid assets. Moreover, index and ETF assets saw a significant jump of 22%, with the total assets under these categories reaching ₹1.55 lakh crore.

In terms of SIP inflows, UTI AMC received a substantial ₹2,260 crore during the June quarter, marking a 17% increase in SIP assets, which now stand at ₹42,186 crore.

However, the company's net profit for the quarter took a hit, decreasing by 7% to ₹254 crore compared to the same period last year. This decline in net profit was from ₹274 crore in Q2 2024 to ₹254 crore in Q2 2025.

Imtaiyazur Rahman, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UTI AMC, commented on the resilience of investors and the continued growth of the mutual fund industry. He also highlighted the well-contained impact of global triggers and geopolitical tensions on the Indian economy.

Cash-arbitrage and fixed income assets for UTI AMC increased 8% and 26% respectively, to ₹40,577 crore and ₹37,506 crore. Meanwhile, UTI Pension Fund's net profit increased to ₹15 crore, with its assets under management (AUM) rising to ₹3.81 lakh crore.

On the other hand, UTI International's net profit dipped to ₹9 crore, and its AUM decreased to ₹25,834 crore. UTI Alternatives reported nil net profit in the June quarter, with its AUM dropping to ₹2,679 crore.
