Paul Hastings welcomes Sherry Xie as a partner in its New York office.
In a strategic move to bolster its global tax platform, law firm Paul Hastings has appointed Sherry Xie as a partner in New York. Xie, a seasoned tax professional with a wealth of experience, joins the firm with the intention of building on the practice's momentum and providing best-in-class service.
Xie's appointment follows a series of strategic hires in the past year, including Daniel Nicholas, Christopher Mangin, and Alex Farr, among others. Xie's arrival is expected to further enhance Paul Hastings' global tax practice, which has been outperforming in its M&A, PE, and other transactional practices.
Xie, who previously worked at Kirkland & Ellis, brings premier talent to Paul Hastings' global tax capabilities in New York. Her notable clients include ADTRAN Holdings, Better Health Group, Cyxtera Technologies, Focus Impact, Gen Digital, Hellman & Friedman, Kinderhook Industries, Monomoy Capital Partners, OceanFirst Financial Corp, Polestar Performance, and TJC.
Xie has represented these clients across various industries, advising on tax matters related to mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and complex business transactions. Some of her representative transactions include advising NortonLifeLock on its $25 billion merger with Avast and Polestar Performance AB on its $20 billion business combination with Gores Guggenheim Inc.
