A series of abandoned vehicles have been found and removed from various locations in the Lenin District of Nizhny Novgorod. According to reports, more than 30 ownerless vehicles have been taken away since the start of the year.

The abandoned vehicles were discovered at different addresses, including Baumana Street, Gleb Uspensky Street, Lenin Prospect, Admiral Makarov Street, and Perekopskaya Street, among others. Specific addresses include Baumana Street 48, k.2, Gleb Uspensky Street 6 and 8, Lenin Prospect 73, Baumana Street 175, Lenin Prospect 41, Lenin Prospect 57k1, Admiral Makarov Street 6/3, and Perekopskaya Street 10.

When an abandoned vehicle is identified, local municipal authorities or the traffic police conduct inspections and document the vehicle's details. An official notice may then be issued to the owner, allowing them a specified period to remove the vehicle voluntarily. If the vehicle remains, it is towed to a temporary storage lot on Delovaya Street, 3.

The owner is usually responsible for covering the costs associated with towing, storage, and administrative fees. If the owner cannot be identified or does not pay, the municipality can recover expenses by auctioning or scrapping the vehicle after the holding period expires.

Citizens can report abandoned vehicles to the local authorities via the hotline provided by the Lenin District municipal services, which is 258-52-65. In some districts, online portals or apps may also be available for reporting.

The district management of landscaping and road maintenance is responsible for the inspections and removal of abandoned vehicles in the Lenin District of Nizhny Novgorod. They conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety and cleanliness of public roads and properties.

It is essential to note that the process, cost recovery, and reporting procedure for abandoned vehicle removal in Lenin District, Nizhny Novgorod, may have local nuances.
