According to the press office of SibUrAvtoDor, starting from May 12, 2025, and running until September 20, a stretch of the R-402 highway will see a reverse traffic flow due to planned maintenance on the km 456 - km 470 portion1. It’s not quite autobahn speeds yet, but drivers, buckle up, this revamp is coming your way.
The opportunity to commute on this segment will be temporarily suspended to ensure the success of the roadwork. So, flip a u-ey and keep an eye out for construction zones.
It was previously announced that DRSU No 6 would handle the repairs. This company snagged the job, pledging to deliver nearly 540 million rubles worth of improvement1. The repairs will be carried out in multiple stages, and the work is set to be completed in full by February 2027.
