The Akron Metro RTA is set to introduce six new bus routes, effective from August 17, 2025. These routes will serve various parts of the city, offering residents a more efficient and comfortable public transportation experience.

Let's take a look at the new routes and their destinations:

  1. Route 1: West Market
  2. Route 2: South Arlington
  3. Route 3: Copley/Barberton
  4. Route 6: East Exchange/Canton Rd
  5. Route 8: Barberton-Norton/Wooster
  6. Route 9: East Ave/Battles

Among these, Bus No. 120 will be equipped with air conditioning, while Bus No. 133 will have a restroom facility. Other notable routes include:

  • Bus No. 67 will go to Yasnaya Polyana.
  • Bus No. 33 and Bus No. 14 will each head to Neftyaniki.
  • Bus No. 24 will go to Solnechnyi, and Bus No. 109 will also serve this route.
  • Bus No. 45 will go to Yasnaya Polyana.
  • Bus No. 95 will go to Moskovka-2, and Bus No. 56 will go to Moskovka-1.

The buses will operate daily from 6 AM to midnight, and each has a capacity of 50 passengers. All routes will have a standard fare of $2.50.

For added convenience, the buses are equipped with GPS tracking systems, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey for passengers. Additionally, Bus No. 150 will offer free Wi-Fi onboard.

The buses will depart from the central bus station, with Bus No. 78 being one of the departing buses.
