Nomination Process for Geneva Association Women in Insurance Awards Initiated
The Geneva Association, an organisation dedicated to recognising and celebrating female leaders in the insurance industry, is gearing up for its annual Women in Insurance Award. Now in its 6th year, the prestigious award will announce its 2024 recipient in December 2025.
Nominations for the award are submitted by a senior representative of the nominee's present employer, and this year's selection committee includes Pauline Leclerc-Glorieux, CEO of BNP Paribas Cardif, Lee Yuan Siong, Group Chief Executive and President of AIA, and other esteemed industry leaders.
The nominees for the award have made a measurable impact through bold strategies, customer-first innovation, or purpose-driven societal initiatives. Last year's winner, Chathuri Munaweera, CEO of AIA Sri Lanka, is a testament to this, demonstrating outstanding leadership and strategic vision in the insurance industry.
Previous winners include Garance, the first recipient of the award in 2023, and Anne Fortin, Executive Vice President of Intact Financial Corporation, who won in 2022.
In addition to the Women in Insurance Award, the Geneva Association has also released a new report titled "Insurance in a Fragmented World Economy." This report discusses the implications of reduced globalization, or 'slowbalisation,' for re/insurers, and explores strategies for companies to navigate the shifting global economy from integration to fragmentation, prioritising security over efficiency.
The deadline for nominations for the Women in Insurance Award is September 15, 2025. The selection committee will interview finalists in November 2025, and the winner will be formally recognised at the Geneva Association's 2026 General Assembly. The award ceremony will take place in June 2026.
