New appointment announced for Mimecast's ANZ Partner Leadership position
Mimecast, a leading email and data security company, has announced the appointment of Lizelle Hughes as the Partner Leader for the Australia and New Zealand region, effective September 2, 2024. Hughes brings with her a wealth of experience in technology partnerships, channels, and strategic sales.
In her new role, Hughes will be responsible for enhancing solutions as technology evolves and working with partners to deliver new products and services at Mimecast. Pauline Tng, Managing Director for Mimecast ANZ, expressed her excitement about Hughes joining the team, stating that she is confident that Hughes is the perfect fit for the role and will be transformative in growing Mimecast's business.
Tng believes Hughes's exceptional track record and unparalleled expertise in strategy make her a great leader. Hughes has a 20-year-plus track record with significant achievements in technical consultancy, technical pre-sales, product marketing, strategy, sales, technology partnerships, and channels. Prior to joining Mimecast, Hughes was the leader of the ISV & SaaS partnerships team at Microsoft Australia.
Hughes has worked at various technology companies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), NetApp, ManageSoft Corporation, Accenture, and Deloitte. She has also helped grow strategic ICT consultancies and their partnerships with AWS, advising on sales, marketing, and business growth strategies.
In addition to her professional achievements, Hughes serves refugees, migrants, and the aged care sector in Melbourne through her role at Spectrum Migrant Resource Center. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and sits on the Board of Spectrum Migrant Resource Center.
Hughes expressed her delight in stepping into the new role at Mimecast, stating that she looks forward to working closely with partners to deliver comprehensive offerings for Mimecast's customers. Tng expects Hughes to contribute to Mimecast's continued innovation and expansion of partnerships in the region.
In her new role, Hughes will lead incremental partner-generated business at Mimecast through resellers, managed service providers, distributors, and tech alliance partners. She will contribute to growth-focused work with valued partners, ensuring that Mimecast remains at the forefront of email and data security solutions in the ANZ region.
