National Tree Co. Hikes Prices 10% Amid Tariff Impact

National Tree Co., a leading US manufacturer of artificial Christmas trees and holiday decor, has announced a 10% price increase due to the impact of tariffs. This move comes as businesses grapple with the effects of trade policies, with many adjusting operations and preparing for increased costs.

The company, which supplies its products to major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Macy's, has seen an additional $6-7 million in costs due to tariffs. This has led to a 10% price hike for consumers. However, there's no concrete evidence yet that tariffs have directly increased the price of Christmas decorations in 2025.

National Tree Co. is not alone in feeling the pinch. A survey revealed that 69% of businesses have altered their operations due to the Trump administration's tariffs. Meanwhile, 48% of businesses are preparing for increased vehicle and equipment costs, and 39% of logistics professionals are anticipating reduced freight demand due to tariff uncertainty. Despite these challenges, businesses are still waiting for the alleged benefits of tariffs promised by the administration.

National Tree Co.'s price increase is a clear indication of the impact tariffs are having on businesses. While consumers may not yet see direct effects on Christmas decoration prices, the uncertainty and additional costs are undeniably challenging for companies. As the situation evolves, it will be interesting to see how these changes affect the market and consumer spending.
