Celebrating MTN Ghana's MoMo Heroes 🏆
MTN Honors Mobile Money Agents in a Ceremony Held in Takoradi
MTN Ghana has taken a moment to shine a light on the unsung heroes of their Mobile Money (MoMo) service. These heroes are none other than the 200+ agents, merchants, and mobile money agents who've been toiling tirelessly in the South West Business District, contributing to the expansion of the MoMo subscription base.
The top-performer, Big Joe Ventures (Kasoa), was awarded a cool GH¢50,000 in electronic cash, along with a spiffy new motorbike. Other top achievers were also honored with impressive prizes like motorbikes, smart TVs, laptops, CCTV cameras, and more!
Shaibu Haruna, acting as the MoMo Limited (MML) contact person designation, praised the collective effort of the 250,000 agent points spread across the country's 16 regions. These agents help customers transact whenever and wherever they please, day or night.
"Our over-200,000 merchants, the backbone of MoMo payments for goods and services, have been our steadfast allies in driving a cash-free economy," he said.
As it stands, there are 11.3 million MoMo subscribers in Ghana, a testament to the dedication of these hardworking agents.
In recognition of their relentless efforts, Mr. Haruna organized a celebration event to express gratitude for all they do. Despite the hurdles faced this year, such as the introduction of the E-levy, SIM-barring difficulties, and a tricky economic climate, the MoMo family has shown unprecedented resilience, making it possible to recognize their achievements today and strategize for the future.
"I count on your ongoing support to build on our successes and strides to make MTN MoMo the go-to digital payment platform in Ghana," he added, urging agents to continue educating customers and maintaining zero fraud cases in their operations. 💪
