Mediaplus joins forces with WGV to launch offensive operations beyond their traditional region.
Insurance Giant WGV Expands Media Presence with Fresh Strategy
Insurance company WGV, which manages over 5.6 million insurance contracts with a premium volume of over 826 million euros, has announced a new media strategy aimed at expanding its brand outside of Baden-Württemberg.
The new strategy, designed by Zum goldenen Hirschen, targets existing customers and digitally affine new target groups, with a particular focus on Generation Z and the "Young Drivers" group. This shift in focus is a response to the changing demographics and digital habits of consumers in the modern age.
Elke Reibetanz, Managing Partner of Mediaplus Berlin, is responsible for the media strategy of WGV. Reibetanz expressed her delight at the opportunity to bring fresh wind to WGV's media strategy, stating that the new approach will help the insurance company reach a wider audience and connect with customers in a more meaningful way.
Mediaplus Berlin, a subsidiary of the Serviceplan Group, recently published its business figures showing an increase of almost 18 percent in revenue in 2024/25. This growth in revenue is a testament to the success of the agency's approach and bodes well for the implementation of the new media strategy for WGV.
The managing director of Mediaplus Berlin responsible for the media strategy of WGV Insurance is Julia Ketterer. Ketterer and her team will be working closely with WGV to ensure the successful rollout of the new media strategy.
WGV's communication efforts will focus on specific product offerings, both within its core region and beyond. With over 1 billion euros in equity, the insurance company operates in the "high" seven-digit euro range and has a strong financial foundation to support its growth plans.
The new media strategy of WGV is set to make a significant impact on the insurance industry, demonstrating the company's commitment to innovation and customer-centricity. As WGV continues to grow and expand, it is clear that the insurance landscape will be shaped by its bold and forward-thinking approach.
