Marina Tender Arrival Forecasted for Early September in Paphos

The long-awaited tender for the construction of the Paphos Marina in Potima, Cyprus, is expected to be announced by early September 2025, following a final approval of tender documents by the Legal Service.

The tender file, prepared by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, has been submitted for a legal and technical review, with all necessary clarifications now provided. The delay in the announcement, initially scheduled for June, was due to this review process.

Andreas Demetriades, the President of the Cyprus Association of Large-Scale Land Developments, confirmed the anticipated announcement, stating that once the review is completed, the tender announcement will proceed without delay.

This significant infrastructure project aims to enhance maritime facilities on the west coast of Cyprus, boosting tourism and investment in the Paphos region. The tender is open to the international market, offering opportunities for global players to contribute to this ambitious project.

Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis has assured stakeholders that no significant delays are anticipated, and the project is in its final approval stage. He emphasised that the tender process will not face further delays.

The Paphos Marina project is presided over by the Cyprus Association of Large-Scale Land Developments, the organisation that Mr. Demetriades presides over. The Legal Service has requested clarifications from the Deputy Ministry of Tourism regarding the Paphos Marina tender, and these have been sent to the Attorney General's Office for the final legal-technical review.
