Main Customs Office Warns Employers After Disco's Black Work Fines
The Main Customs Office Regensburg has issued a stern warning to employers following a case of black work violations involving a local disco. The case, initiated by an anonymous tip, has resulted in a significant fine and backdated social security contributions.
The disco's employees were found to have been working since November 2022, but were only officially registered for social security in January 2023. This meant that the disco failed to pay social security contributions of 8,546 euros for the period before the official registrations. The case was brought to light by the Financial Control Black Work (FKS) of the Main Customs Office Regensburg, following an anonymous tip.
The former owner of the disco was fined 6,000 euros for these social security violations. The convicted person is now required to pay both the fine and the outstanding social security contributions. Despite the investigation and subsequent fine, the identity of the owner has not been publicly disclosed.
The Main Customs Office Regensburg has used this case as an opportunity to warn other employers about the serious consequences of black work violations. Employers are urged to ensure that their employees are correctly registered and that all necessary contributions are paid in a timely manner.
