The renovation of the tracks at Roßplatz is causing temporary disruptions to the operation of several tram lines in the city. Until October 20, tram lines 8, 10, 11, 16, 34, and night line N10 will experience changes in their routes or service duration.

Due to the delayed renovation, these lines are operating on alternative routes to avoid the construction area. While specific details may vary depending on the city and current updates, typically, the changes involve rerouting these lines around Roßplatz using nearby streets and temporary stops.

For exact alternative routes and stop changes for these affected lines, we recommend checking the latest updates provided by your local transit authority or their official website and social media channels. They usually provide detailed maps, schedules, and announcements about temporary route changes due to construction delays.

In the meantime, here are some changes to note:

  • Line 9 will run from the S-Bahn station Connewitz to Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz and continue as line 34 to the S-Bahn station Plagwitz.
  • Tram line 8 will run shortened from Paunsdorf to the main station and continue as line 10 to Wahren.
  • Tram line 11 will be rerouted via the western ring.
  • Between Grünau-Nord and Lösnig, line 38 will run via the Westplatz.
  • Tram line 39 will connect Thekla with the Sportforum-Ost stop via the west side of the main station.

Please note that the section from Ring-Café to Augustusplatz will remain closed to tram traffic until October 20. The renovation is expected to impact the tram service until this date, and we advise passengers to plan their journeys accordingly.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage passengers to stay updated through their local transit authority's channels for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

The renovation delays in the public-transit sector, specifically in the transportation of tram lines, are causing temporary alterations in the industry of finance, as passengers might incur additional costs for alternate modes of transportation during this period. On a more positive note, this project in the finance domain may lead to long-term advancements and improvements in the public-transit sector, particularly in transportation infrastructure.
